I have several hobbies that I like to do in my spare time. Although my activities are not limited to the following, here are some of my favourites.
For as long as I can remember I have always loved acting, the list of productions in which I have performed in is far too long to list. Unfortunately I stopped acting for a long time; but, recently have got back onto the stage here in Italy.
I have been performing in a comedy show in English called "Fullmoon". It was a typical English Black comedy. The writer, John Peter Sloan used this show as workshop and is now currently rewriting it as a much stronger show. We will start performing again this Autumn.
For 9 years of my life I played lead synthesiser for Mechanical Cabaret. It was a really fun and exciting period of my life. Due to changes in lifestyle etc, I decided to leave; however, I will always have really fond memories of touring Europe with the band.
I haven't given up music. I still tinker with sound in my home studio, although my Oberheim OB12 and Emax II are still in the UK, I really enjoy exploring the sounds that I can make and utilise with my Novation Xio. I'm still searching for the ideal writing partner... more on that soon...
I'm not a fanatic cycler; but, I do enjoy cruising around. One of my projects was to build my own bike to my specificationa and to paint it as you can see from the picture. I have no brakes on my bike! (Not completely true, I have no visible brakes - my bike has a coaster brake.
Here in Milan, I like to occasionally join the Critical Mass group. They meet every Thursday night for a tour of the city en masse. The last time that I joined them, there were about 200 cyclists. I miss my bike that's in the UK, it's an Electra Rat Fink.
As any self respecting British person would, I enjoy a good beer!
I am not an excessive drinker, what I mean is that I enjoy a traditional real ale now and again. I know what to expect with different styles and tastes.
In and around Milan there are several pubs which sell traditional English and Italian beers and about 50 metres from where I live there is a micro-brewery called Birrificio Lambratewhich brews fantastic beers.
My favourite brewery of all time is the Wychwood Brewery, so if you ever feel like sending me a bottle of Hobgoblin, please do!
